Vasquez opts for draft, but could return to school
Maryland Terrapins guard Greivis Vasquez has announced that he will enter the NBA Draft.
However, Vasquez will not sign with an agent, which would allow him to return to Maryland for his senior year should he take his name out of the draft by June 15.
Head coach Gary Williams said Vasquez wants to acquire as much knowledge as he can about the draft process and how his game is viewed by various scouts.
Vasquez has made it clear that he has no intentions of playing overseas next year, and that his options are limited to leaving for the NBA or returning back to school.
Many believe that Vasquez will ultimately decide to remain in the draft, but so long as he isn’t getting false information, I believe he will be forced to return to school for his final season.
